Alessandra
Guercio
No
Sky High Enough
by

Breathtaking.
Phenomenal. Extraordinary. Spectacular. Amazing.
All
of these words and more could not describe the thought that passes my mind
as I watch the twelve-year old singing sensation, Alessandra Guercio,
perform. As you may already know, Alessandra was a musical guest at Miss
Idea 2004 and 2005. She captured the audience’s hearts with every verse
she sang in 2004 and had the spectators raving about her until she
appeared again in 2005.
Alessandra was a guest on the
hit television morning show, The Maury Show, when she was only ten years
old. The ratings on her performance that day were so high that they
requested her once again to perform this year.
I remember watching the show
knowing exactly what to expect; I got just that when goose bumps ran up my
arm with her first word. It did not take long to get more chills, as she
was simply breathtaking. Alessandra sang “Because of You” by
Kelly Clarkson that day and she was nothing short of phenomenal.
Leaving the crowd during a loud and standing ovation, her extraordinary
performance will surely be remembered by the onlookers for a long time
coming.
Since her first appearance on
the Maury Show, Alessandra has been recognized in many places, including
the
Bahamas
where she vacationed with her family. The spectacular
singer was even requested to sing the national anthem on two occasions at
the world’s most famous arena,
Madison
Square
Garden
; once for the New York Knicks, and more recently, the
New York Rangers. Alessandra has also appeared on Showtime at the Apollo
and even opened for Michael Bolton. In addition, Alessandra won Top Child
Vocalist against a competition of over seventeen hundred children.
Alessandra
continues to be nothing but amazing and we at L’Idea are
very proud of all her accomplishments. We wish her the very best and hope
for an everlasting success. We
promise our loyal readers that we will keep them posted on Alessandra and
all the wonderful things the future holds for her. The sky is the limit…
or is it?
